Description: The Almanac Beer Company was founded in 2010 by Jesse Friedman and Damian Fagan, and is best known for their barrel aged sours, such as their Farmers Reserve, Brettaville and Hoppy Sour series – sour and wild beers that combine oak aging and the bounty of California farms to create complex flavors and aromas. In addition, Almanac also produces Fresh Beer now available in cans, highlighting hoppy and bright flavors in San Francisco IPA, Saison Dolores, Craft Pilsner and citrus-laden Mandarina Farmhouse Ale. Farm-to- barrel brewing is about selecting the best in locally sourced fruit and blending it into beers inspired by the great brewing traditions of the world. Description: Something’s happening, and it involves clown shoes and beer. Clown Shoes? It’s a long story, but to condense it a group submitted the name to the Beer Advocate contest that resulted in The Wrath of Pecant. Clown Shoes’ submission didn’t crack the top 5, which then fueled the fire for this team to keep at it. Now they are creating some truly spectacular brews with a mission to produce beer without pretension while being free and a little crazy.

Description: David Cole and Peter Erickson are the founders and co-owners of Epic Brewing Company. Cole and Erickson, originally from California, started an international aquaculture company in Utah in 1992. Description: In Summer of 2008, Stephen and Inez bought the existing building on 526 North Main Street (home of Tarboro Brewing Company) because they fell in love with the property and the location. They felt that TBC could be yet another business to synergize downtown Tarboro and attract more people.

Description: Weyerbacher is the original spelling of the Weirback family name used by the first immigrants from Germany about 200 years ago. The spelling has morphed slightly over time, but Dan and Sue Weirback thought the original was best when they founded the brewery in 1995.
