Description: Les Jamelles is produced by Catherine and Laurent Delaunay, two young winemakers from Burgundy whose family has been producing wine for generations. After working in California they both fell under the charm of the Languedoc-Roussillon region in South France. Catherine and Laurent Delaunay travelled throughout the Languedoc-Roussillon region for several years to determine which were the best terroirs for each variety and convince growers to work with Les Jamelles to produce characterful, well-balanced, complex wines that express their varietal characteristics.
Region: Santa Rita Hills, California
Description: Liquid Farm seeks to support local viticulture and honor their palates' love for old world wines that have naturally high acidity and are not masked by many of the modern day manipulations. To do so, they selfishly decided to make what they most love to drink: Chardonnay that is earth and mineral driven from cool climates with little or no new oak. To achieve these qualities Liquid Farm was drawn to one of the coolest of all California AVA's, Sta. Rita Hills. Located in Santa Barbara County, it is home to some of the most Chardonnay-suited, unique, ancient soils in North America.
